    Hi,

9 important updates for my W7 x64 systems, (Windows & Office 2010), + 1 optional update, KB 2800095, which I did not install, no need for me.

    Regards,

    Windows XP Pro x64

Leaving out the Office updates since that's business as usual with Office 2010 32-bit. (Technically, Office 2010 doesn't support XP x64, but I've been using it for years without any issues, and it always auto-updates) That leaves Windows.

Four updates, including both versions of MS14-036, plus the Malicious Software Removal Tool. All install successfully from the installer, using the Server 2003 x64 files. All other updates affect only Windows Server 2008 or later, Vista or later, or 7 or later. 100% success rate this month, not too shabby.

The funny thing is I'm actually being much more punctual at installing updates now that Microsoft retired XP support and I have to track them down myself, rather than leaving them in the taskbar ready to install for months (which is where my work laptop's Win7 updates are currently residing). I may be the only XP user in the world for whom the end of support meant I'm actually more up-to-date than before.
