Already...dang...so when can we expect a SP2 or SP3 for windows 7 then???
-
Likely never.

Agree Tijo, just another reason to do regular system images to external hard drives
Windows 7 SP1 Home Premium x64; 11 updates 54.7 MB -
I'm guessing you didn't have a series of .net framework updates? That's the only tihng I can think of that would explain the difference in size.
-
M$, at least for now, has canceled SP2 for Windows 7. With the advent of Windows 8 and those looking to downgrade it appears M$ wants to make the downgrade process as painful as possible. Then again I could be wrong and there is some unforeseen reason that benefits us consumers in not putting out a SP2 for Windows 7.

Thanks for the response, I did get 2 for .NET 3.5 and 1 for .NET 4 but I have a few hidden updates such as IE 10, silverlight and Bing Desktop.
-
You could probably skip the Bing Desktop.
-
Not probably, it's an avoid at all cost in my opinion. It's the only hidden update I got and it will remain that way until the end of time...
@JOSEA, probably the IE10 update, it's roughly 40MB in size and some other minor update. -

ill wait a while, dont want a repeat of the fiasco that happened a couple of months back.
-
Waiting is the best bet. The computers at work had issues when updating this week. They are running Windows 8.
-
Good luck, mine keeps coming back every so often.
