    I have it.

They did a Silverlight page for Halo 3 back when it was first out.

It was pretty slick. I like it. I'm very interested in seeing further Silverlight developments.

I installed Silverlight 1.0 when a Microsoft website demanded it. Then I navigated away from that site, surfed around for a while, etc. When I navigated back the Microsoft website, Silverlight demanded another install. I think the loop is over now. Strange.

Is Microsoft going to make this work in other browser besides IE? I have the Beta and it doesn't work on Firefox.

Yea, silverlight is a cool app.... Microsoft downloads are powered by silverlight as well.

I think either the nba or nfl has silverlight technology installed now... Going to be interesting to see what part silverlight plays with IE 8 (if any) or the next version of windows... tech for widgets, etc.... silverlight could be that product to help bridge the gap, but we will see...

It installed just fine on my FireFox 3 Beta 3.

Maybe you should download the FF beta... that might help. But I think silverlight also installed on FF 2.

I can confirm that it doesn't work in FF 3 beta 3. I've tried, but it doesn't work, it works in IE7 though.

Yet another attempt for MS to force something proprietary down our throats. MS needs to focus on using accepted standards (which they don't in SO many aspects of their coding, since they think they're better) and not do just what they want.

Well, i wouldn't say anything from MS, but most. I wouldn't have gotten to know how good vista is if i followed that way of thinking. But i agree with you on "small" things like this, they either flip, or flop.

Humm... Oh wise one... Do tell me about the accepted open standard for animating the web?

Last time I checked Flash was a proprietary setup from Adobe...

got that right... but of course, it is popular to talk in such fashion about MS products... no matter the facts.

    All good though...

    Minefield isn't FF3 Beta.
Why use Minefield? It's lame. Use Gran Paradiso(FF3) Alpha Build 2 or 3 is out I believe.

I checked out the graphics in MS site using silverlight. This is way too slower than flash player.

Yeah, i noticed the slow down too.
Oh, ok. I see, minefield is the "stable" betas and the actual actively developed FF3 is this. Thanks for the insight.
