Hello all, I recently bought a windows 8 laptop (Lenovo Yoga) and because a dropbox app doesn't exist yet I want to switch over to Microsoft skydrive.
I set up and installed skydrive on my Clevo p180 and moved all the files from my dropbox to my skydrive folder. My laptop says that all the files have been uploaded to skydrive via the notification widget (not sure if that's the proper terminology or not. Now when I boot up my Yoga which I am using right now and open my skydrive app from the metro interface it does not show any of my files. I am set up on the same email address as my laptops skydrive is but for some reason my files do not seem to be coming over to the yoga.
What do I need to do to fix this?

How does dropbox not exist? You just download an install it. Afaik they have a metro-version too, not that it's needed, since dropbox should be in the background anyway.

Try the desktop version SkyDrive and/or verify on the web that your files have all been uploaded.

If the files are synced from your main computer they will all, in the skydrive folder, have a green check mark over them. that means they are available online, but you will need to also sync every device or laptop now to your skydrive for these files to migrate over and stay synced. Go to the skydrive website and click on the PC's link to make sure all your computers are linked up.

the green checkmark is next to all of the files. do i need to go to the skydrive website from each individual machine? i believe they are linked at least i thought they were how do i confirm this?

First follow Shemmy's advice to make sure those files are there. Then do Mervyn's recommendation and let us know if that works.
