Just found this awesome All-In-One installer from Major Geeks for the Microsoft Visual C++ Libraries! Man this was a huge pain for me to install them all in the proper order.

Best of all........... the fix highlighted in red in their description, this was an issue I always had to fix in the 2005 Visual C++ installer

Download Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Installer (All-In-One) Installer

Note: It is best to exit all applications that are not needed if you were trying to install this on a regular system (as in, not a fresh Windows install) to avoid any conflicts with apps that rely on the Microsoft Visual C++ Libraries. Also recommended to reboot after installing.

PS: This tool will also uninstall any previously installed but outdated versions.

I'll try it on newer clean installed machines, however too much time is wasted for searching vc++ redists packages. Thanks @Phoenix.

I tried it on my laptop, works like a charm

Man this was the biggest nuisances I had on a fresh install. The problem is there are many of them so sometimes I loose track where I stopped

And the fact that they install the Visual C++ 2005 DLL files in the correct location is another huge time saver as it's very tedious to cut/paste the wrongly placed file into the correct folder then edit its multi reg entries to fix the path. If you didn't do this, you will get an event log viewer about it upon every restart.

Been searching for a tool like this for a long time to be honest

I missed vc 2005, almost all other packages are downloaded and installed via Visual Studio. Thanks a lot man.

2005 is very important for some games and some antivirus programs as well.

I can't remember the name, I think it was Avira Antivirus or F-Secure AV that started throwing lots of Event ID Viewer errors upon every restart if you didn't have 2005 installed

I forgot to quote your previous post. Even I was confused and had my doubts " Did I write this w/o quoting?"
