I have Windows XP Pro and I installed the optional WGA for anti piracy. The OS passed as Genuine, no surprise there. My question is if WAT can't phone home to MS should I be worried that one day i'll find myself with a Non Genuine OS? XP Pro is installed on a gaming rig that rarely gets connected to the Net.

Should be fine - I've loaded a couple of laptops we use at work for off-line use/printing computers. The last time the touched the web was close to a year ago - no issues on the notifications or anything of that nature.

For WinXP, i think that WGA only has to recheck when you install updates or new windows features like WMP 11.
