Hello all,
often we have threads on "tweaking" and in most cases its a myth.
These links from Micrsoft give you a few basics - they will seem awfully familiar to people who know what they are doing.
At the same time - for "newbies" - these links will offer a reasonably safe way of figuring out how to potentially increase performance.
I'll add links as I find them on the Microsoft site.

Why couldn't you post it here?

Those are all SUPER SAFETY tweaking/optimizing.
I always do those optimizing that MS pointed out.
That's why I do not like 3rd party softwares tweaking/optimizing so much.
Last time, I did like tweaking but end up system unstable or dead. I told myself do not tweak using 3rd party softwares and manually adjust registry again.
I want to add your REP but can't? What happen? -
That was the idea I had - just put MS links in here - this is what Microsoft says you can do - so you won't break anything.
(oh my memories from XP... )
