Hey guys, I discovered this the other day while doing a google search for how to make a bootable USB stick to install Windows 7 onto my netbook. It doesn't seem to be very well known yet.

I used it and it worked like a charm. Just point the program to your Windows 7 ISO, plug in your USB stick, and let it do its magic.

Obviously make sure you dont have any data on the USB stick, as it will be completely formatted & overwritten. You need at least an 8GB stick to install Win7.

I rather use a more traditional and manual method.
Because it won't involve any 3rd party software. XD
In addition, I will get to know what am I doing using this method.

Fail. 4GB is more than enough. I confirmed this with plenty of USB Flash Drives(4GB) and my USB HDD(Partitioned 4GB as Windows 7 Installer).

Thanks for this. I will try it out next week. Win 7 should install faster via flash drive over the more traditional optical disc method.

You're welcome. Thanks for being grateful, unlike the other know-it-alls here.

I haven't installed 7 from an optical drive, so I have no basis for comparison (except for numerous XP installs) but it only took like 20 min. total to install 7 from the USB stick, so it is quite fast.

Because USB Flash Drives run faster than DVD. So, you can install Windows 7 very fast.
Sorry for being rude previously. But we're telling the fact. Anyway, thanks for sharing.

Yes, I understand that I was incorrect about the size of USB drive required, but you could try being a little more polite about it. It really wasn't that big an error.

    Good find.
I did it the manual way when I installed Windows 7 on my netbook a few weeks ago but this is always good to information.
