I'm expecting to recieve my nc6000 in a week or so (though I'm not holding my breath at this point). My question is: I want to copy some stuff from my desktop (mostly files and favorites), and maybe move one program altogether. The problem is I am currently using Quicken and I will be changing over to Simply Accounting (importing my Quicken data). Would you recommend moving Quicken and then installing the new program on the laptop, or installing first on the desktop and just moving the new program? I will be using Aloha Bob to migrate (used this on the new destop and it worked great) so I can pick and choose what to move/copy.
Thanks
Chris

Can't you just backup your Quicken Data files (your data) and then just import them into your new notebook using Simply Accounting? If the data files are compatible, there's no need to install an app and then remove it. You can just copy the required data files onto a CDR or floppy (if it'll fit) and then install Simply Accounting on your laptop, then use Simply Accounting and import the data files from the CDR/floppy. But if that can't be done, I'd go with installing the app into your desktop and then import from there, since this will be the program you'll be using anyways.

I will try that first; sounds reasonable. Thanks!
