For some reason every time I minimize applications to system tray on vista (google talk, msn etc) the window for the application stays in the taskbar but is not clickable (it just occupies space which defeats the purpose of minimizing to tray).

I am quite sure that I have everything set up properly to minimize to system tray only and not to taskbar + tray...

Has anyone else been running into the same problem? Any fix for that?

Are you using a legal copy of Vista? Did you "Upgrade" to Vista from XP instead of performing a clean install of Vista? Have you tried repairing or re-installing your Vista?

Yes, it came preinstalled with my new dell and I got the COA which came with my laptop

No, I did a clean install of Vista using the installation disc provided by dell

This is my third clean install of vista and I am still encountering the same problem

    Any suggestions?
