    Hi all,

I just recently observed that my C:\Windows folder is missing after going into the My Computer icon. Usually, it is in the same root as where you find C:\Program Files folder as well as C:\Documents and Settings. For me, it is completely gone. I can, however, manually type in C:\Windows and that folder automatically appears. I've googled this problem and it doesn't seem like anyone has encountered this problem. What I get in the search engines is that certain directories within C:\Windows are missing such as C:\Windows\system32 rather than the whole main Windows directory.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Cheers.

This sounds to me like your windows directory folder is hidden.
You can checked to see if the folder has been hidden by accident using windows file hide option. Basically go into the tools menu of my computer and go to folder options and then to view and select show hidden files and folders. If it does show up then change the file properties on the windows directory(right click) from hidden to read only. Hope that solves your problem
