So I am now dualbooting my M570U with WinXP Home and Vista Ultimate 64 bit. I had a hard drive in my modular bay all along but now when I swapped it out with the DVD Drive, it's not being detected in both OS's. Any idea why that is? It happened once before when I was dual booting Ubuntu/Mint and Windows Vista 32 bit and the problem was the GRUB bootloader. Who's teh culprit in this case? What can I do to fix it? :(

Edit: The GRUB error was fixed by setting LILO as bootloader.

Is the DVD Drive seen in the bios? If not you may need to start working there. Double check the connections and such. If it is go back and double check the grub settings again. It may have changed when the drive changed.

Oh it's being detected while bootup. Grub? I don't have linux installed. Maybe I'm posting in the wrong section. Lemme PM Sam to move this thread :p.

Thanks coolguy for the link. I tried it but the only problem is I couldn't find the entries to delete - they are just not there =|

Edit: I forgot to mention that I have installed SP3 on my XP install. I'm going to remove that and see if it does anything.
