Every time i start up my Gateway p6831FX, it comes up with an error box saying, quote: Error In: Users/(whatever my pc name is)/AppData/Local/Temp\mtyunqkg.dll Missing entry: run

What's wrong with it? I googled the error and people say that it's a virus...do i do a vista restore or can i just boot up with the vista cd and click repair?

    Thanks in advance

I would first try to create another user account, dummy one if you want, and see if it duplicates the error on the new account. If not, then your profile is likely to be corrupt. If that's the case, save all your files and re-create your profile. Let us know if this works...

Whoa. Thanks Doobi! It just turned out to be a corrupt profile. I created another admin account and deleted the corrupt one. Thanks!

It wasn't a corrupt user account--it was a malaware entry in your registry referencing a file your temp directory
