Did a clean install of 8.1 and I'm missing the power button (and the search button) shown in the following link: http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/44237-power-button-start-screen-add-remove.html A friend used the same iso on his desktop and he has it, I thought doing the windows updates would get me it but it didn't.
Following the guide I got until HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ImmersiveShell\ but the last step aka the launcher isn't there. Any ideas on what to do?

On which laptop did you do a clean install of Windows 8.1? Does it have a touch screen?

The asus k53sv-dh51 in my sig, no touchscreen, installed on a clean ssd.

Also having problems installing printer drivers for my brother laser printer that's hooked up with Ethernet, it sees the printer during installation but I get an windows error code, had to go so I didn't get to get the code but will this afternoon.

The power button came eventually in a windows update!

and oddly enough the printer drivers I'm trying to install that keep failing have shown up as a windows update.. should I try downloading them from there?
