I was wondering what format do I need to save DVD Copies on my computer for my PLaystation 3 to be abe to pick up the file on media share? I can copy one of my Dvds on to my harddrive but when I try to wirelessly connect my playstation 3 to pull it up and watch it on my tv it doesn't find the file? I wanted to put all my DVDs on the HardDrive so when I want to watch a movie in the livingroom I can just pull it up with media share and not worry about having to get the actual DVD. Does any one know what program and how I need to save the DVDs and Bluray movies onto the HardDrive so I can pick it up on my playstation?![]()

Here's a link to the video formats the PS3 can play.

H264 mp4 is the safest best.

You need to add the videos to the media library that Windows Media Player can access, and it should show up as a DLNA entry on the PS3. In theory that is... I use PlayOn that way, and it works, but all my DVD's I ripped to my hard drive are sitting on a media center that's directly connected to the TV.
