'User' folder in C: contains folder (like my documents in xp) which contains music, pictures, documents, videos etc.
I want to move it to D: as D: is not the system drive and safer to keep data.
How to move 'User' folder or my documents folder to D: in a neat way?

Can you not just do (as in XP) and right click your "user" settings folder and change the location? (not used Vista, but this seems simple and logical so... yeah probably not...)

nope that only moves the documents folder

You simply drag and drop to drive D:\, like copying files, and it'll be retain a copy on drive D:\. I don't think you can move the entire folder itself as that's the default location, and it needs to reside on the same hard drive or partition as Windows was installed to.
