On my desktop (Win XP) I use MS Office Outlook 2007 to access my e-mail, but I am pretty much moving off my desktop to my new laptop (Win Vista 64)... I would like to know if it is possible to find the MS Office Outlook file on my desktop where my saved e-mails are located and move it over to my laptop which is also running MS Office Outlook 2007...

Do you have an archive set up? If so it should have a .pst extension.

In Outlook 2007...
File -> Import and Export -> Export to a file -> Personal Folder File...
Select Personal Folders and check Include subfolders.
Move the PST you create to the new laptop, then do the same thing on the laptop.
File -> Import and Export -> Import from another program or file -> Personal Folder File...

Also, if you go to File>Account Settings and click on the "Data Files" tab, you'll see where Outlook stores your emails. I recommend using kegobeer's method (I've done it a few times myself without issues), but it's nice to know where Outlook stores your emails so you can add that file to your normal backup (assuming you do backups).

Sounds easy enough... Thanks!

Now come up with a way to have your desktop and laptop sync up with each other with Outlook 07.

rolleyes: ) to sync between phone, desktop, notebooks. All 4 devices are constantly in sync. A change made to any of them gets pushed to the rest. There are other tools as well to do this. Many are free.
That's just for calendars, contacts, and tasks of course. For mail I just use an IMAP mailbox so it's always in sync between devices with no additional fooling around. -
I've always used a hosted Exchange service. It's about $80 a year and it give you a true sync solution for Outlook. It syncs everything, down to the color of your categories.
