This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Multiple installs of windows updates from 10-13

    Anybody getting messages to do installs of the 10-13 vista updates after they have them already?

    Yeah, I suggest you check your update history.

    (Control Panel->Windows Update->View Update History)

    In the update history it tells me I have
    Cumulative Security Update for ActiveX Killbits for Windows Vista for x64-based Systems (KB973525) 16 times
    Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 7 for Windows Vista for x64-based Systems (KB974455) 17 times
    Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2 Security Update for Windows Vista Service Pack 1 and Windows Server 2008 for x64-based Systems (KB974469) 16 times
    There are another 6 or so with the 16 times installed as well.

    16 times installed = something is wrong...
    (if its the same KB numbe) - and excluding Defender Definition updates)
