What are some of the best programs for ripping music from CDs? I am currently using Windows Media Player, and it works good. I do not want to continue using it because of problems I've had.

What are some of the best programs for ripping music from CDs? I would like to be able to set the filename settings (Artist - Song Title, where as WMP puts it Artist-Song Title [I'm picky about that]), and also be able to change the name of the song and tags before it rips so I don't have to do it later.

If you know of any good programs that do this, or are just very good for ripping, let me know.

    Thanks!

I like winamp although you do have to pay to get the faster rip speed. You can customize the filename settings to your own liking....the free version goes up to 2x, and the pro version goes up to 48x .

Ok, I'll try that. I tried Exact Audio Copy and was disappointed.

    Thanks for the suggestion!

CDex. It has error correction similar to EAC, without the complexity. Rips a whole CD to VBR on my laptop in about 10 minutes. Has plenty of naming flexibility too.
