Hey, I was wondering if you had any recommendations as far as music dowloading programs. I had limewire on my crappy pc and i think that might have hurt it. I've heard good things about rhapsody so i might be leaning towards that. Well any thoughts will be greatly appreciated.
    thanks,

    ~Sam

You will have to pay for music, use iTunes.

Download music off limewire or torrents is illegal. Discussion of it is also against forum rules.

    he's new here..didn't know..
but yes..it's illegal and if it messed up your computer you could have downloaded something with a trojan/spyware..anything like that.

the best way is to pay..and it doesn't cost to much

    rhapsody is good..
and if you do mycokerewards you can get free song and album downloads.
and also free one month subscriptions too.
i also use napster as well. it's 14.95 a month.you can download all you want and you don't have to pay per song to put it on your mp3 player..as long as your mp3 player is in the compatibility list.

If you are going to pay for music don't buy iTunes. Buy MP3s from Amazon. Higher quality rips and no DRM.

As noted, we don't allow discussion of illegal downloading or related, so please keep everything legal. Thanks.

I like Amazon MP3 as well. It is high-quality LAME MP3-encoded music with no DRM. Avoid DRM at all costs . . . otherwise if the music service goes under, so does all your music. It's happened several times, and the consumer gets the short end of the stick.

Avoid iTunes at all cost. Amazon MP3 is the better choice.

If you want to buy high quality music, just buy the CD and rip it yourself to lossless format using foobar2000. Then you can put the CD in a safe place in case something happens to your lossless backup. :)

Exactly. Limewire itself is just another p2p app. As far as legality is concerned, having this app on your computer is perfectly fine. Its upto the user to share and download legal files.

Its like having a car and speeding around town. Having the car is legal. Speeding..not so. Therefore..this topic is about "cars" hence..is legal

I like rhapsody..i have mycokerewards. i have a lot of points to allow me to buy mp3s. one mp3 is 44 points. i think it used to be 30 something but oh well. or you can download mp3s from walmart for 88cents.
if you're looking for a good music program just look online and research and find out which one would suit you best!
