l just got my new i6000 laptop & I'm still a very happy camper...that is until the Jukebox feature suddenly stopped working. I was ripping just fine & I think I still had 2 free burns to go w/ the trial "plus" version, but I've had to restart it whenever I go to musicmatch.

    What gives?

Also, what's the basic version of Jukebox like? What does Plus have that basic doesn't?

Any help or advice would be great. Thanks.

What exactly are you trying to do? I haven't used MusicMatch in years. To rip CDs I use Exact Audio Copy.

All I'm looking to do is rip & save my CDs to a library (SOMEwhere) in my laptop. (I was advised to avoid doing that w/ WMP)

In case it matters, I'm using a Dell i6000.

Btw, it came w/ the Sonic burning program built-in, but it doesn't allow me to save the music. So given what I've got, what're my options?

    Thanks

Windows Media Player has a pretty good ripper.

So it'd be either WMP or something bought or downloaded? Someone suggested Nero.

iTunes is a very good music program - I burn all my audio CD's from there. The latest version is 6.0 - you can download it for free.

The free cd-da audio converter is a program itself. It can be found at http://www.download.com/Free-CD-DA-Extractor/3640-2140_4-10327914.html . It does not have spyware/adware or any junk stuff.
