Hey everyone,
So, I'm planning on starting a small tech support company (aka, myself going door to door to fix things) in my home area. I'm definitely capable of fixing most issues, but I had a question concerning software to bring along / keep on the laptop I bring.
What do you guys think are MUST HAVE programs to bring along to a client? I know most of my work will be antivirus / malware cleanup, but if I need to diagnose a PC or component, is there any software you suggest having on hand? Specifically, I guess I'm looking for the top hard drive speed test tools, port testers, benchmark software, and anything else I'm forgetting.
Thank you for your advice! Greatly appreciated.

InSSIDer for wifi interference issues?

StormJumper Notebook Virtuoso

CrystalDiskInfo for SMART monitoring on HDDs, Hwinfo32 for general diagnostics, Kaspersky Rescue Disk on a USB for antivirus (I think it's still free on their website).
If you want to get fancier to try your hand at security + penetration testing, get a partition of Backtrack Linux. You can diagnose wifi issues, audit wireless passwords and even recover forgotten Windows passwords.
USB sticks with Memtest 86 and OphCrack (for Windows password recovery) can't go wrong either.
Belarc Advisor to recover security keys (like Office CD-keys, Windows CD-keys and other software CD-Keys prior to nuking a dying Windows installation) -
