So...I just installed a new SSD into my laptop, and I'm trying to install Office 2010 professional plus but it wont work.

I lost the disc to Office 2010 PP forever ago, but prior to installing my new drive i used a program to find the product id and product key. So, i went and downloaded a trial version of it, tried to put in the key, but it wont work.

Am i missing something? Thanks guys!

I would call Microsoft support. As useless as they may be regarding most other issues, they're usually pretty good about resolving license key problems.

You might have had a a volume license key and you were trying to enter it into the retail version of Office Pro 2010.

You need to ensure you download the right version according to your key
