Hey guys, I'm using vista and i accidentally disabled my primary plug and play monitor on my notebook and now my primary monitor doesn't work. A external monitor doesn't work either because i disabled TMM, to enable it i would have to go to display properties which i can't even see. Right now i'm in safe mode trying to enable that driver. Anybody know how i can fix this?

Fn-F8 Fn-F8 is for external alone... It needs to be on the laptop keypad.

Restart the system, then try again. There is no way it shouldnt work...

    QAnd if that doesnt work...

rt click on desktop/personalize/display settings and reenable your external.

yeah the fn-f8 doesn't work. Actually on my notebook its fn-f7, however because i did a clean install, the quick change of monitor never worked.

Good news is i got my monitor back. It seemed like when i disabled the primary monitor, it just turned off the backlight, so under certain lighting conditions i was able to barely see the screen and i was able to enable the monitor again.

thanks flamenko, i'll rep you for trying to help.
