    HI

I have a Windows Vista Acer pc.

    harddisk 140 gb
    mb ram memory 512
I have like 13 software programs on it like antivirus and download programs etc.
Also, in station D I have about 36 gb of large files like movies.
In station C I have in use 50 GB also movies and music files etc.

That's about all I can tell about it. Now I have no idea why it's running soo slow. I mean I scan it daily and I have no virusses and stuff. Is it because of all the software? Or should I keep more space and not so much files?
If I wasn't able to make everything clear I will try to answer questions.
    Thanks for help in advance.

Hmm well I checked it and I saw the average score is 2.0
    Which isn't good I think.

I think it's the RAM that is low. 512 may not be enough for so many prgrams?

RAM is surprisingly cheap nowadays, but it depends on your location.
$26 for two 1GB sticks seems the low-price on Newegg.com.

You definitely need more RAM. If you go to one of the online stores, like Newegg, under the memory section you should find a memory configurator that will let you find exactly which sort you need, and from there you can then check prices.

How old is your computer? Does it use DDR or DDR2 RAM? If it uses DDR RAM, might as well upgrade to a new computer, because DDR is very rare nowadays. Like everyone else said, DDR2 is very very cheap. 1x2GB is like $40.

Probably the best decision in the long run.
