    Dear friend,

I just got a T61p from store. Our model is 6450 - 67U. I'm running Win Vista Ultimate Service Pack 1.

Yesterday, i didn't remember what I did for sure, but now everytime I log on to Windows, the Taskbar always has a option : Safely remove your hardware, and the hardware here is the included DVD-CDRW drive on my lappy. I wonder why this can happen ??? Something like my laptop recognizes the DVD-RW Drive as a USB device, if I safely remove it, the DVD-CDRW drive will be disabled (means I can't see that hardware device on the "Device Manager" anymore.

It just happened yesterday, and I can't understand why it happens. I didn't do anything wrong with the PC, just do a clean Vista install, but it's running very well till yesterday, when i realized the problem.

Could you please help me to solve the problem ? What do I need to do to solve that ?

    Really really appreciate any advice.

    Sincerely yours,
