    Did this for my daughter - he'll need to fill in his college e-mail address, (critical is has "edu" in it). MS will send a link and code to enter the website to download the product. Pick the version you need, download the ISO and you are all set. Download was fast and efficient.

    It technically requires a .edu email address, but you can verify that you are a student by emailing them a copy of a student ID and they will grant access.
