Hello everyone. i just got my IFL90 barebone system last night and assembled everything. After I installed windows xp w/ sp2, i notice that when i right click my computer and go to properties, it does not read my CPU but insteads shows "Genuine Intel CPU @ 2.00GHz".

i tried installing the hotfix for the dual core support, but when i tried installing it, aftering checking space and making backup, it installs in less than 1 sec, it finishes the installation without asking me to reboot. i thought this was kind of weird and when i manually rebooted my laptop, it still does not read. Does anyone know how i can fix this problem? thanks!

Download and run CPU-Z as well...that should give you some additional information.

When I right click there too, it does not specifically say 'dual-core'. It says Core 2 Duo, which is just the name (programmed into the chip). Go to the Task Manager and view the Performance tab...do you see one or two graphs?

Is your barebone using the latest BIOS?

If it is showing two CPU's and two graphs, what makes you think it is NOT optimized?
