My shutdown buttons and CTRL+ALT+DEL are acting differently...

Something happened to my computer when I was setting it up on my school's network that changed the way I turn on/turn off and use CTRL+ALT+DEL on my computer. I have less "flashy" menus for those things. When I turn on the computer, there is no welcome screen (in fact, there never was, I only have one name and no password), but now it pops up a little window that prompts for my username and password - still no password. When I shut down, the computer pops up a similar window with a drop down box asking what to do instead of the little square Hibernate, Restart, Shutdown buttons from before. And finally, when hitting CTRL+ALT+DEL, the computer displays just my background with a window asking Lock Computer, Change Password, Task Manager, Shutdown, Cancel and such.

Where did this come from? How can I get it to stop happening? Basically, I know what I'm doing with a computer, and I know I did choose for this to happen, so I'm stumped. Is there anything I can do to get it back to normal?

I'm running Windows XP MCE if that matters...

Ok basically your computer has XP welcome screen disabled... and you see what 'old fashioned' or 'advanced' 2k/nt users use.
just go to Start -> Control Panel -> User Accounts -> Change the way users log on and log off -> check "use the welcome screen" -> hit apply

if you set your computer up to log into your schools domain, then it would automatically enable secure login mode, which would do all of the above
