Hi, i have a Gatway M6862 and my wi-fi was working perfectly fine until Weds night where my battery was about to die out and lost wi-fi so I shut it down. So thursday night i go back to use my laptop and my wifi doesnt turn on anymore. I have it on but my laptop cant find any signal. How do i go about seeing if this is wifi card problem or something else? Can anyone help me?

    I'm running a W7 professional 64 bit, since Jan.

Did you maybe turn off your Wi-Fi card?

For me, on my F2 key, there is a little icon (kinda like a horizontal bar with waves coming out of the sides).

And if I press and hold my "Fn" key, and then press the F2 key, it will turn my Wi-Fi on and off.

not sure about the gateway but a lot of notebooks have a fn shortcut. on mine its Fn and F11
also try rebooting your router. unplug and leave for at least 2 minutes and then plug back in.

Its either a Fn shortcut or a switch actually on the laptop case, like some I have seen.
