    Hey everybody !

I am a very happy customer of the NC 8430 but I wanted to re-install a clean windows so I would get rid of those HP bloatwares that slow down the system but I couldn't get my hands on a oem xp pro.

So, I have a bunch of programs or process that launch but I have no idae if I can remove them or not.

In msconfig, those are services (if I don't display windows services) :

    ati hotkey poller
    bluetooth service
    hpqwmiex
    Installdriver Table Manager
    NOD32 Kernel Service
    PC Angel.

and those processes that start with launch :

    regsvr32 /s mqrt
    AGRSMMSG
    smax 4pnp
    Smax4
    cli
    SynTPEnh
    QlbCtrl
    cpqset
    Recguard
    Remind_XP
    Scheduler
    nod32kui
    ctfmon
    BTTray

Anything I could remove without any problem (hp bloatware or else?) I am not using the print device thing. And globally I would say that the computer is hot and noisy but apart from that it's all good !

    thanks alot in advance !!!!

The XP install on NC8430s has no bloatware in particular in my opinion. This was true atleast in my case, and I guess it's the same on all notebooks of the same model at least. I've installed Vista on mine though.

If you're wondering what a particular process does, a lot of information about it usually can be acquired by simply googling the process name. ;)
