I am running a windows 7 pro x64 and i have problems starting the services stated above to use my mobile broadband.
when i try to start the SSTP(secure socket tunneling protocol) service, it says the service has started and then stopped. Some services start and then stop if they are not used by other services or programs.
i need the SSTP to work in order to start the RASMAN(remote access connection manager) as it is dependent on that service.
I found a work around which worked for me last time on vista and win 7 rc by going to regedit and removing the sstp from dependonservice in the rasman's registry but now it gives me an error 87: the parameter is incorrect.
i do not want to reformat and reinstall as i have alot of stuff in my system and i have no time to create a backup.
is there a way to fix it or reinstall the services?

Did you try recovery options for that service tab ??

yes i tried putting it to keep restarting once it fails but it still doesnt want to start and stay started.
i used to be able to just ignore sstp and remove the dependency on windows 7 rc and vista but now on win 7 pro rtm it doesnt seem to work -
this maybe bit complicated but try removing the SSTP driver and reinstall them ,
check this ( its for vista mind you)
