From the makers who brought you Ccleaner, Defraggler and Recuva give you Speccy. Windows only: Planning an upgrade soon? Save yourself the web searches for your specs and download Speccy. Speccy does a quick scan of your machine and gives you a complete rundown of every piece of gear that's in your computer.
Upon first glance, Speccy seems like something that's only attractive to power users, but it can be useful for anyone. When the Device Manager doesn't give you enough information about what kind of RAM you have (say, if you're looking to upgrade), Speccy will give you all the information you could possibly need, including the RAM type, how much you currently have, and even the number of slots used so you can buy with confidence.
You can view your computer's information in a brief summary (as shown), or click on any of the categories for a very, very detailed report. Speccy gives you detailed information for CPU, motherboard, graphics, hard drives, optical drives, and audio, all so you don't have to go searching somewhere else to find out what you have. In addition, it also gives you real-time information on things like bus speed, DRAM Frequency, and temperature, to name a few.
Please note before downloading that this is a Public BETA.

Wow, this is a fantastic tool! One, easy tool with a good interface for finding out detailed system information that even a dumby can use.
Definitely +rep -
Agreed. It even tells the temperature of your hardware. It tells you everything you want to know or ever need to know about your PC in a sweet interface. Definitely an overall great product; I expect nothing less from Piriform. Can't wait for the upcoming weeks when this is out of BETA.

pmassey31545 Whats the mission sir?
Nice! I have Everest Ultimate, but this is much faster for quick access plus I can run it on other peoples computers quickly and easily. Thanks for the link. +rep

nice find!

Just FYI, the portable version works flawlessly as well!

I ran the portable version. Works great! However, it never identified my ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 or provided any information under the Graphics heading.
This would be great to have on a USB key when looking to buy a new computer. It would give you an idea what is in the box when considering a proprietary system.

Very nice. Thanks for posting. Piriform has churned out some real winners. Adding another great tool to the arsenal.

I'll stick with PC Wizard, thanks.

Speccy didn't identify my Intel 4965 Wifi and Marvell network controller. But still it's good for a free program.

Great find!
These guys really have some great products. -

Piriform ftw. Looks to be like another great program.

I like Piriform products, especially CCleaner.
Piriform is just amazing and they produce good freeware.
I will download Speccy when it is out officially(not beta). I lazy to use the Beta Software. XD
