Under the Advanced Power Management, they let you choose the performance of your hard disk. I would like to set it to max performance but will this mean more wear and tear on the hard disk?

What setting do you guys use?

    Thanks.

I don't use NHC for that. I turned off Acoustic Management and I control disks spinning threw windows so does not matter to me.

On wear and tear, stopping and starting adds more than always running in my opinion. It will save battery but I don't care that much vs wear and tear.
