It also gives me more information:

    - Manufacturer: HP
    - Current Capacity: 62989mWh
    - Designed Capacity: 88800mWh
    - Fully Charged Capacity: 62989mWh
    - Wear Level: 29%
    - Voltage: 12379mV
    - Chemistry: Lithium Ion
    - Technology: Rechargable battery

This laptop is only two weeks old, but I have a warranty arranged with the retailer. I have only used the battery once since I got it. Should I discharge it a few times and see what the wear level is after? I'm not sure of how dependable this reading from NHC is. Input, anybody?

NHC's battery wear level varies greatly and is not a good indicator of actual wear. Mine usually range from 35%-6%. Don't worry, your battery is probably fine
