Can someone please tell me what advantages Notebook Hardware Control has over Vista's built in power plans? I used to use NHC all the time when I had XP, but it kind of seems to me that it really isn't needed in Vista since they have such comprehensive power plan options (such as CPU throttling) built in. Maybe I'm missing something, and I'll gladly install it again if it's needed, but if Vista does the same stuff on its own I might as well not install it.

with NHC you can underclock, resulting in better temps for your cpu

I believe he meant undervolting. Unfortunately, NHC doesn't currently allow undervolting of Santa Rosa CPUs so you'll have to use RMClock to undervolt.
