Do you have to delete the hdd then format when prompted by the install options?

I just did a clean install and did not click the format button it seemed to install fine it is just horribly slow. This is on an acer 5920g and now has no bloatware which I thought would help but didnt. Rig is unresponsive and very slow sometimes I click on something it thinks then doesnt react at all. Any suggestions?

    @.@?
Just do another Re-installation of OS again.
This time make sure all the sh!ts of Acer will be removed by clicking FORMAT on the specific Partition.
After that, install back everything you need.

Run a chkdsk and see if any improvements. Expand also your "horribly slow" statement (start up, browsing ....?)

    cheers ...
