    Hello,

I am getting 16bit MS-DOS error. and NTVDM.EXE is using 100% cpu. I heard that this was a virtual machine for 16 bit program. However, I didn't install anything and don't use 16bit program. Is there a way to turn off NTVDM?

    Thank you

I just learned that DirectWeb is causing the problem. But, I can't uninstall the program

If you're using XP, you can try msconfig and see if DirectWeb is listed as a startup program. If so, shut it down. You can also use service.msc and disable the application there if it's listed.

I'm not familiar with Vista so am not sure if startup programs and running apps are shut down/disabled in the same manner, but I don't think it would hurt to try. Good luck.
