Title pretty much sums it up. I need to be able to put the software on 2 computers. If it's relevent, I use the web for email, paying bills, researching, and news. Also, I have XP Pro on one computer and Vista Home Premium on the other, if that matters. Assume I don't know anything on this topic because I don't. :) Thank you.

    Lots of free stuff.
I use AVG free for anti virus.
I use Windows Defender for Internet security (also free).
I use Active security monitor to keep tabs on the general health and safety of my system (free) made by AOL but nothing to do with them as ISP.
I use Windows Firewall (comes w/Windows).

I would not try and claim these are the absolute best but easy to use not resource hogs no problems in over a year (when I started).

i can tell you not to purchase any norton product(s) unless you have a supercomputer capable of running them without any slow down.
