The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I am looking for a media player I can use on my laptop, I have shared the itunes music folder on my desktop computer, i then made it available offline on my laptop, I am know looking for a media player that can 'monitor' the shared/offline files and add new music to the laptops libary when new music is added to my desktop (using the offline files). I have deiscovered the monitoring folder function in windows media plaer, but i am not sure if it works on network folder (since that where everything is saved) and there is no such option in sonic stage or itunes.
    anyone know of another free media player?
