This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Need advice: how to open .ofx file

    As per title, my bank statement comes in this format and I don't know what program to use to open it. Any advice?

    Financial software like Microsoft Money, GNUCash, etc can handle OFX files. If you use one of those (and the software doesn't already work with the files you downloaded), check out http://www.mt2ofx.tk/.

    If you want to open the files in Excel, you need some kind of converter or plugin. One can be found at http://www.bigredconsulting.com/aboutofxreader.htm.

    Can you also ask the bank to send the statements to you in a different format? I requested mine in pdf, and they gladly complied.
