Please advise me on what I am missing should I go for the Teacher/Student version of MS2003 Office over the full blown $400plus version? I want to be exposed to Excell, Pwrpoint and Word. Would I suffer and be at a disadvantage in the work force pertaining to duties involving inventory, efficiency reports on performance(workers and equipment), etc?

Remember this is from a guy who has been a 100% Mac user. I have been happy using Appleworks for all my business apps. But, as I posted elsewhere, I am waiting for my new and 1st pc laptop - Dell's Inspiron700m which I sadly forgot to order any apps with it!

Any suggestions and info would be helpful.
    Thanks again!

I don't think the academic version is missing anything. My understanding is that it's just a reduced price version with a limited license for students and teachers.

    Dear Brian:

I will purchase this edition. Hopefully, my experience in the installment will be as smooth as installing software on a Apple. Thanks again. These forums do supply much useful information.

    Sincerely,

I think that the 'full' version also includes the database program, Access, while the edu version does not.
Surely MS's website has the details!
