    Hi, im new here so welcome me with some help;D

    well here the problem for me, i got my HP Pavilion dv9500 Notebook PC in august last year so its not so old :)
    but my computer start going slower and slower and act´s abit strange sometimes>_<
    So i need to formate.. im normaly a windows XP user. its easy there. put in a cd press few buttons blabla its done.
    well with vista u dont got a cd like that right? :p
    so how do i formate my HD? and install windows again? :)

    my english aint the best, but i hope ull understand it :)

    Vista installs the same way as XP..put in in your DVD drive, boot off of it and select the partition that you want to install Vista on.

    And yes, there should be a Vista CD. Actually, I believe that HP charges something like $19 to get an OS recovery CD with the purchase of a laptop, but I could be wrong.

    If you downloaded the upgrade version, there is still the capability to burn a recovery DVD. Where did you get Vista from? If you have an HP/Dell/IBM/etc. you should have received a recovery disc, or instructions on how to burn/purchase one.
