Hello all,
I want to open a txt file at startup everytime. Is there a way to do this?
Windows Vista here BTW
-
You could create a shortcut the TXT file in the "Startup" folder in the "Programs" list...
-
But how do you create it?
-
Right-click desktop -> New -> Shortcut. Or you could just copy the whole .txt file into the startup folder and forget about the shortcut.
-
open the location of the text file, open C:\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
right click the text file and drag to the startup folder, do "create shortcuts here"
you're done.
also, why do you want to do this? -
I want to see the text file every time I turn on my laptop
BTW, i cant find C:\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup -
-
Done! Thanks to everyone that helped!
-
Just wondering, why do you need to see a text file when you start up?
To-do list? -
maybe use a startup manager.... tuneup utilities and advanced system optimizer both have them.
Need help managing startup!
