I upgraded to Windows 7 recently, and I chose the custom install option where windows is installed on a partition on your C drive. My old files were put under Windows.old on the C drive. Unfortunately, I did disk cleanup and made the mistake of deleting off my Windows.old folder so all the files are gone. Is there any way to get them back? I am thinking of sending my hard drive to Driver Savers, but before I do so I was wondering if there is anything I could myself. Mostly what I want back are the hundreds of pages of work in Microsoft Word I have done over the past 3.5 years.

    Help!

Google "undelete" there are plenty of programs out there that will help you recover your missing files. It will also surprise you as to what is still available after you "Delete files" from your harddrive.
