    Need help to retrieve "cut" files

    Hi,
    I cut and paste 2 GB worth of data from my laptop to a USB Flash Drive.

    Unfortunately the USB was deffective and so i lost the data on the USB.

    Is there anyway i can retireve the data from my laptop ?

    Please Help.

    right click on your desktop, and select paste?

    You can look into some undelete apps. But that's about it.

    Cutting is the same as copying files and than deleting and skipping the recycle bin. Undelete is your only option

    Recuva should do the trick:

    ^ a flash drive, writable disc, ex. HDD .

    Well if you never pasted it, just paste it back to where you had it

    Use a data recovery program to get it back. I used recuva a few times and it saved some precious docs.

    That's right. Usually it's at the place were you had it, even if the you tried to paste it.

    Uh, read the original post again. He pasted it and then latter realized the device was corrupted. Too late to go to the original spot in that case and expect to find the files there.
