    Hey guys,

I have a few files that are divx movies on my computer that I am trying to burn to a dvd so I can watch these movies on a regular dvd player. Any recommendations on a dvd copier to use and their costs? I'm a noob when it comes to video formats but I remember having to get divx codecs to watch these flicks.

    TIA.

There are many programs available that cost $ which will do this - Easy Media Creator comes to mind with its ability to convert DivX to a VOB file and then burn it to DVD media.

If you have specific codecs and other video issues to deal with, doom9.org is a large repository of information on anything related to video, compression, codecs, and burning.

gautam3's right. You can use either EMC or Nero. Have fun waiting forever during the conversion though. It'll take a couple hours+

Nero will convert almost anything in a very easy way to a format where you can play it on any dvd, maybe it's the easy way to deal with video format and all that stuff. I think you can find any nero softwatr for around $60 - $100.

MediaCoder is free and open source. DivX and VOB are among the supported formats.
