Ok so my HP had the motherboard replaced, and started having windows errors. So I went to use the recovery partition and discs. Well neither worked saying that they would not work for my computer (and yes they are both good as I have used both many times). Long story and alot of frustration short I cant use my HP tablet until I get a proper OS to install on it. I was planning on upgrading to business, just not for another few months so enter my predicament.

I always hated buying windows/MS software because there are thousands of variants of each version. I came to newegg.com and found this and was wondering if it included the DVD so that I could eliminate all issues and not have to streamline a dvd. I know about the support with this version and all the other main aspects like non transferable, but after a lot of searching I have no way of finding out if this includes the media. So if anyone can inform me of whether or not this includes the media that would be much appreciated, as well as any personal experience with the system builders version would be great too.

    Thanks!

What do you mean "thousands of variants"? You can buy retail or OEM versions. I'm pretty sure that there are more different flavors of any one Linux distro than any Windows operating system.

Your link is to an OEM version of Vista business. It comes with the DVD and no other documentation.

You do not need to purchase Vista. HP replaced your motherboard, so contact them and tell them what's going on - they will either ask for your laptop and reload Windows, or they will provide you with a DVD so you can reinstall. Your problems are most likely the result of no HP BIOS id on the motherboard, so your HP OEM copy of Vista won't work.
