Since i uninstalled my WLAN driver some time ago because the connection options were controlled by a third party software instead of Windows XP itself, my WLAN just wont work. Ive tried litteraly most of the driver out there, old, new ones etc.
Basically, somehow, i have 2 WLAN cards? Or well thats what i think.. its a laptop and i can see to kinds of WLAN cards. The one is GIGABYTE and the other one is An Atheros 56xx... or somethig like that

Not really...
But 2 W-Lan cards sounds wrong...
Have you tried driver for both?
What about other specs - motherboard/chipset?
It may need more detail... -

As you see i have this Atheros and GIGABYTE, both of them WLAN... this is what confuses me.. maybe i should download for both but i recon doing that a few times. Maybe it's one of the other drivers/adapters i have to find drivers for?
Thanks in advance -
Its strange - what happens if you let windows search for drivers?

Device manager.

If it were me, I would create an image of the C: drive first, just so I had a backup incase anything went wrong.
Then in device manager I would uninstall BOTH of the wireless adapters and shut down. (Not just a warm boot a total SHUT DOWN/POWER OFF.) Then I would restart the machine anbd let XP find the "new" hardware.
But again I would NOT do this without a total backup image of the C: drive.

If I remember right, when I ordered my dell I had the option between 2 wifi cards, your not getting lost there maybe?
I would uninstall the wifi driver in device manager, restart, goto windows update and see if anything comes up. You may have to use the custom search when looking for what you need.
A few months the dialup modem in the desktop stopped working correctly, I done the above and it now works fine.
Or you could remove the driver, then goto 'update driver' from the pic you posted and find the download and install from there.

Need some serious help please
