    Need way around password

    I have a dell inpiron 1000 that i want to wipe clean and start fresh with but when I boot it up and try and get into the bios or change the boot order it asks me for a password which i dont have of course. The computer has XP on it thanks

    It is a bios password, either contact original owner or contact dell. This cannot be discussed any further on these forums, legality.

    We do not allow this type of discussion on these forums, so thread closed. I suggest you contact Dell, and if you can prove you are the owner of the laptop (hard to belive if you don't know your own password...so good luck with that), they may help you.
